Juan de Fuca Veterinary Clinic

What to Expect
Appointments
We offer a variety of convenient ways to book your appointment. You can call us, send an email, or use our online booking tool to schedule a visit for your pet. Our reception team is here to help and will do their best to accommodate your needs.
If you are unable to find an available appointment time online and your pet needs to be seen urgently, please call our office. We may be able to place you on a cancellation list or find an urgent care spot. While we cannot guarantee availability, we will do our best to assist you.
We look forward to seeing you and your pet soon!

New Clients
Before your first visit, we kindly ask that you complete our New Client Form and send us any previous medical records for your pet. This helps us streamline your appointment and gives our doctors time to review your pet’s history in advance.
If you're unable to complete the form ahead of time, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to fill it out in person.
Thank you for helping us provide the best possible care for your pet!
On the Day of Your Visit
We strive to bring you and your pet into an examination room as soon as one becomes available. While our goal is to see all patients on time, unexpected delays can occur—particularly in the case of emergencies or when a patient needs a little extra time. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and please know that the same care and attention will be given to your pet should they ever need it.
What to Bring
Any additional medical records you'd like the doctor to review
A list of questions or concerns about your pet’s health
Any current medications—please maintain your pet’s usual schedule and bring the medications with you
Pet Safety & Comfort
All pets must be on a leash or in a secure carrier for their safety and to minimize stress. If you don’t have a cat carrier, we have loaner crates available—just let us know.
When You Arrive
Our goal is to create a fear-free, stress-free environment for all of our patients. To help reduce noise and congestion in the reception area, you are welcome to wait in your car, in the clinic lobby, or outside on our grassy area after you check in—whichever is most comfortable for you and your pet.
Once you arrive, please check in with one of our friendly receptionists. They will:
Confirm your contact information and assist with any necessary forms
Provide information about Puppy or Kitten Health Packages, if applicable
Help prepare insurance claim forms
Note any additional questions or concerns for the doctor
Weigh your pet
When the veterinarian is ready, you and your pet will be brought into an exam room. The doctor will perform a physical examination, discuss your concerns, and work with you to create a care plan that best meets your pet’s needs.
