Juan de Fuca Veterinary Clinic
Cancellation policy
Appointment Cancellation & No-Show Policy
At our clinic, appointment times are in high demand. To ensure we can provide timely care to all patients, we ask that you notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
General Appointments
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice during regular business hours to cancel or reschedule a general appointment.
This helps us offer the appointment to another pet in need of care.
Surgical Appointments
For surgical procedures, we require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes.
This allows for adequate preparation and the opportunity to accommodate another patient.
No-Show & Late Cancellation Policy
Appointments cancelled with less than the required notice, or missed without any notice, will be considered a no-show.
After a first no-show or late cancellation, clients will receive a notice from our receptionist. After a second occurrence, clients will be required to prepay for future bookings and prepaid amounts will be forfeited if the appointment is missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice.
For surgical appointments:
If a deposit was made, it will be forfeited.
If no deposit was taken, a 25% fee of the procedure cost will be charged.
Emergencies
We understand that emergencies happen. If you are unable to contact us in time due to an emergency, please let us know as soon as possible so we can discuss the circumstances.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us provide timely, high-quality care to all our patients by respecting the time reserved for each visit.
