Microchipping
A Simple Step for Lifelong Protection

Microchip identification is one of the most reliable ways to ensure your pet can always find their way back to you. Whether your pet slips out the door or you’re preparing for international travel, a microchip offers peace of mind that lasts a lifetime.
Why Microchip Your Pet?
Every year, thousands of lost pets are safely reunited with their families—thanks to microchips. Collars and tags can fall off, but a microchip provides a permanent form of ID that stays with your pet for life.
Microchipping is also essential if you're planning to travel internationally or export your pet, as most countries require a registered microchip for entry.
Even if your pet is mostly indoors, accidents can happen. Indoor pets are often the least prepared if they get out unexpectedly, making permanent identification even more important.
How It Works
Microchipping is quick, safe, and feels similar to a routine vaccination. A tiny chip—about the size of a grain of rice—is placed just under the skin between your pet’s shoulder blades. Each chip contains a unique ID number linked to your contact information through a national pet registry.
If your pet is ever found, most veterinary clinics, shelters, and animal control agencies have microchip scanners. Once scanned, they can access your contact information and reunite you with your pet quickly.
