PUPPY WELLNESS

The first few months of your puppy’s life are a critical period in their development. We can provide the support and tools necessary to help them grow into a well-mannered, healthy dog, including information and advice on nutrition, training, behavior, and socialization.

Puppies generally undergo 2 to 3 visits for their initial vaccine series. We recommend scheduling your new puppy in for their first vaccines and parasite control program by 8 weeks of age, again at 12 weeks, and finally at 16 weeks completing the initial series. Until a puppy is fully vaccinated, they are susceptible to many serious but preventable diseases.

KITTEN WELLNESS

Kitten wellness is essential to getting your kitten started on the right path to living a long and healthy life. We are well-equipped to provide you with all the necessary tools to help during this critical period in your kitten’s development, including information and advice on nutrition, litter box training, and behavior.

We want to ensure your new kitten remains safe from serious but preventable diseases. We recommend bringing your kitten in for their first exam as soon as possible. Our kitten vaccination and parasite control program begin at 8 weeks of age, with booster vaccines every 3 to 4 weeks until he or she is 16 weeks of age.

ADULT WELLNESS

Regular annual diagnostic and wellness checkups can help reassure you that your dog or cat is healthy, along with help us detect any hidden diseases and conditions at an early stage. Early detection can improve the prognosis of many diseases; as well as keep medical costs down and help increase your pet’s longevity.

Regular exams are crucial for our companion animals as they age far quicker than humans. During your pet’s wellness exam, our doctor will perform a physical assessment, checking over your pet from head to tail! At this time, your pet may receive appropriate vaccinations and parasite control preventatives. You spend the most time with your pet, therefore you are your pet’s expert. Please let us know if you’ve noticed any physical or behavior changes that concern you.

SENIOR WELLNESS

Compared to humans, our pets age quickly. By the age of 7 years, most dogs and cats are considered “seniors”. Just like us, as our pets age, their health care needs change. Regular senior wellness visits can make a big difference for your pet. Senior pets may experience changes in their nutrition and exercise requirements, cognitive function, vision, and hearing. Being aware of signs of aging or illness early can allow us to start treatments or adjust lifestyle right away, making for a better outcome for your pet.

Pets are living longer than ever due to advanced veterinary medicine and supportive care from owners. Call us today to book your pet’s senior wellness exam!
